I’ve been contemplating a name change for this blog. I no longer feel the love for ‘temporarily me’.
I was hoping to change the name to the one I’ve been using for my review blog - Glamorous Geek but someone’s done gone scooped that URL. I knew I should have bought the URI then.
[Though, I could use the English spelling Glamourous and get away with it since that one's available but would that just cause confusion?]
I’ve thought about Chic Geek, also gone.
I want something funny, yet also indicative of me - sort of - I mean, I’m really not all that glamorous, nor chic but Frumpy Geek is just not that fun and enticing.
Since you’re most important I’d like your input. You’re the readers, you are who counts.
Do you think I should change it or leave it as is?
If you have an idea for a name please leave it in the comments.
If we’ve decided that a name change is needed I’ll have a contest for names and the one picked will receive an awesome fantastic prize that is yet to be determined. But I promise it will be chic, glamorous, wonderful fabulous!

Ha! I’ve been contemplating a name change, too. Just go to Godaddy and start plugging stuff in and see what you get back. Once in blue moon, THE perfect name hasn’t been nabbed.

It’s a hard decision because I fear losing the small following that I have here. Not that I couldn’re rebuild, but it’s taken this long to get where I am. LOL

I voted to keep it as is…but that’s just me. I’m afraid of change so what do I know?! the name suits you….and I’m so used to it! LOL

I’m all about new names. I’ll come back if I can think of one. Although, I have to say, I really like “temporarily me”. It has a nice sound to it.

Well…I voted keep it the same. I love Temporarily Me! It’s cute! It’s fun! It’s…you. BUT! Samaramadingdong is ALSO super cute. So…I dunno. Tough decision. I do, however, vote that it either stays how it is or its Samaramadingdong. Nothing else allowed.

I have to admit, I’m surprised the vote is that close. About a month ago, I voiced the idea about changing my name (not the blog name, mind you, just my pseudonym) and the masses revolted. I had lurkers coming out of the woodwork with their first comment telling me to keep the name.
Blog readers are very resistant to change, in my experience.
If you want to change it, that’s your call. But to quote a comment I got: you’ve spent the last X years building “brand temporarily me”. You don’t want to waste all that.
