Tick-tock Goes The Blog

You may be wondering just what keeps this blog going and the answer is Wordpress. I heart Wordpress almost as much as I heart chocolate, Matthew McConaughey and Criss Angel. It took me a while to convert from Blogger because I was a chicken, but now there is no looking back.

I always wanted to have little mini posts where I can share tidbits of information without a full post. I tried plugins and was just never satisfied with the result. ThenI found this, and I now have exactly what I was looking for!

This plugin provides two new template tags to replace plain text with styled images. This is primarily a reworking of the Image Headlines plugin. Of course, THAT was a reworking of another plugin by Joel Bennett. The main changes over Brian’s plugin are (a) a richer admin interface, (b) the ability to predefine multiple image text styles, and (c) using template tags instead of depending on arguments to the_title. Anything that works really well probably came from Brian’s code. Anything screwed up is probably my fault.
